The Motivation Research Team has had a very active year 2023. The team has grown by three new members, presented at several events, conducted a community motivation survey, connected with the EMPAMOS research project, and developed the first tools to increase motivation in teams.

The TYPO3 Association member poll for the Quarter 1/2024 budget ideas has been completed and the four winning ideas will be funded by the TYPO3 Association.


In October 2023, TYPO3 attended a Drupal conference in Lille, France. This was an opportunity to strengthen our collaboration and learn more about a fellow open-source CMS — and maybe ourselves.


The absence of a centralized view of all available TYPO3 extensions has made it tough for users to discover extensions to meet their needs. We've long sought a solution to simplify this process. Now, TYPO3 extensions solely on Packagist are visible in the TYPO3 Extension Repository.

I joined the TYPO3 Community Sprint held in Düsseldorf 20–22 November 2023. This was my first time attending one of these events in person. Until now, my only experience was an online Community Sprint back in July. It was cool and kinda exciting to meet all these TYPO3 folks face-to-face.


The EU legislators have been reconciling several different draft versions of the regulation, incorporating stakeholder recommendations into a final draft to be voted over by the European Parliament.
