In the dynamic world of web development, staying ahead means continually innovating and refining existing tools. With TransFusion, our mission is to simplify backend translation challenges for TYPO3 users.


The TYPO3 Association member poll for the Quarter 2/2024 budget ideas has been finished and the four winning ideas will be funded by the TYPO3 Association.


In mid-March, we applied the final touches to the ACL Improvements initiative, which was chosen as a Community Budget Idea for Q1 2024. Here is a summary of the work completed in the recent weeks and what we have delivered.

Last year was marked by the revitalization of the Localization Team. We re-established regular meetings and started working on a number of issues, including decommissioning the old translation infrastructure with Pootle, which had become obsolete since the switch to Crowdin.


EU laws can foster or hinder open-source innovation in the name of personal digital sovereignty. Legal expert Neil Peretz gave a tour of current challenges at T3CON23.


As part of a wider initiative to promote TYPO3 in the UK, CMS ambassador Tom Warwick and colleagues participated in two conferences in central London at the start of the 2024.


The version 12.4.13 of the TYPO3 Enterprise Content Management System has just been released.


For many years I've been one of the developers of TYPO3 Rector. When I heard about the call for funds for community projects at the end of last year, I applied. Thanks to the TYPO3 community, my proposal to write at least ten new Rector rules got accepted and the funds were approved.

The UX Team helps to improve and maintain the TYPO3 User Experience. The main goal of this team is to work on UX improvements for TYPO3 existing features and also to collaborate on building any new feature during the concept process if help is wanted.


TYPO3 Conference 2024 will be held between Tuesday 26th and Thursday 28th November 2024. The TYPO3 Award Ceremony will be held on the closing night of 28th.

Part six of our recap series of 2023's T3CON sessions. Automation can improve how web applications get deployed. Reproducible deployments reduce errors and increase efficiency.


In the heart of Düsseldorf, at the TYPO3 GmbH Headquarters, the TYPO3 Marketing Team convened for their first in-person sprint of the year from 6 - 7 February, 2024. After a quick round of coffee and introduction, we dove headfirst into two days of intense collaboration, innovation, and networking.


The call for community budget ideas for the second quarter of 2024 was successful: 17 of 19 ideas have made it to the poll. The ideas can now be discussed and TYPO3 Association members can cast their vote.

Work has begun on the access control list (ACL) enhancement initiative, with analysis and research phases complete, we now have an initial set of insights to draw on. Next up is finalizing the scope with the TYPO3 Core Team and then starting the implementation. Read on for the full update.

In November 2023, two members of the TYPO3 Motivation Research Team attended the EMPAMOS barcamp event to connect with others and learn more about the study of motivation through game mechanics.


The Content Types Team has had a productive couple of months. We showcased the Content Blocks extension at TYPO3camp RheinRuhr, and received valuable feedback from the community.
